Can You Cure Your Depression?
Having suffered depression for years and getting it under control nutritionally, I think it is important to recognize that it is not the same for everyone and there are certain thought patterns which can prolong or even cause depression.
While I firmly believe that nutrition, inflammation and environmental factors can cause depression to last much longer, I have experienced brief moments of sadness which do not last long. The reason for this is my current diet, the Ketogenic Diet, is anti inflammatory, thus reducing the duration and severity of depressions.
Furthermore, experiments with the carnivore diet have made it more difficult to trigger depression altogether, with a pretty even calm being the average emotional state after just 30 days of the Carnivore Diet.
Rumination, social isolation, failure, are just a few of the triggers which can launch you into depression. Practicing techniques of stoicism, minimalism and meditation are good ways to prevent the triggers that launch us into depression, while nutrition can mitigate the time spent depressed.
Using these two methods in combination can prevent and eliminate depression from your life. Change your diet and lifestyle to provide some much needed relief from depression.
Depression cannot be cured, it can however be managed through nutrition, lifestyle changes and therapy in my opinion. Seek help if you are depressed, and try to make the changes you can to find relief from depression. I can only hope others can find the success that I have with my own mental health.
